Anticipated Vacancy 2026-2027 ENL Teacher (Full-Time, Tenure Track) North Babylon Union Free School District Robert Moses Middle School â North Babylon, New York The North Babylon Union Free School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and collaborative English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher for a full-time, tenure-track position at Robert Moses Middle School beginning in the 2026â2027 school year. The successful candidate will support multilingual learners in grades 6â8 through high-quality instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards and NYSED Part 154 regulations. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to equity, culturally responsive teaching, and fostering academic language development across content areas. Responsibilities Provide direct ENL instruction to middle school students in standalone and integrated classroom settings Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to support multilingual learners Develop and implement differentiated lessons that promote language acquisition and academic achievement Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation in accordance with NYSED regulations Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives Qualifications Valid New York State Certification in ESOL/ENL (Kâ12) Strong knowledge of NYSED ENL regulations and instructional best practices Experience working with middle school students preferred Ability to build positive relationships with diverse student populations and families Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Position Details Full-Time, Tenure Track Competitive salary and benefits package in accordance with the North Babylon Teachers' Association contract Start Date: September 2026 Application Process Interested candidates should submit: Letter of interest Resume Copy of NYS certification Transcripts Three professional references Applications may be submitted through the district application portal or use Frontline.
