Interim Chorus Teacher Robert Moses Middle School Assignment Dates: March 4, 2026 – June 30, 2026 Position Type: Interim / Temporary Location: Robert Moses Middle School Position Overview Robert Moses Middle School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Interim Chorus Teacher to lead and inspire our middle school vocal music program for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality vocal instruction, foster musical growth, and prepare students for performances while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This interim assignment begins March 4, 2026 and concludes June 30, 2026. Primary Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based choral instruction for middle school students Develop students' vocal technique, music literacy, and ensemble skills Rehearse and prepare chorus students for school concerts and performances Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with music department colleagues and school staff Communicate effectively with students, families, and administration Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and performance assessments Qualifications Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Music (required) Experience teaching choral/vocal music at the middle school level preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to accompany rehearsals (piano proficiency preferred but not required) Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students Compensation Salary will be commensurate with district salary schedules and contractual agreements.
