Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist in the implementation of K-6 literacy initiatives aligned with the New York State Literacy Briefs. Support component school districts in developing and enhancing literacy instruction. Design and deliver professional development workshops tailored to district needs. Serve as a liaison to ensure consistent communication and effective collaboration among educators and district leaders. Monitor and assess literacy program outcomes and recommend improvements to achieve optimal student outcomes. Continued development, evaluation and improvement on the K-5 Nassau BOCES Regional Social Studies curriculum. REQUIREMENTS: New York State Education Department Administrative Certification: School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL). A minimum of three years teaching experience with New York State Teacher Certification. Knowledge of staff development trends, instructional techniques and learning theory. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with component school districts. Excellent managerial, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel within Nassau County. Strong background in elementary literacy instruction.
