The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education is seeking a Music Teacher. Responsibilities include: Conduct music lessons as assigned and scheduled for students with disabilitiesIndependently develop and implement curriculum and assessments consistent with the NYS standards for music instructionModify instruction to further develop student skills in language and engagement through music instructionCollaborate with team to routinely facilitate cooperative learning and interdisciplinary skill buildingRequirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and New York State Certification in MusicExperience working with individuals with developmental/behavioral disabilities is preferredAbility to work with individuals with developmental/behavioral disabilities is requiredMust possess good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
