Responsibilities include:Conducting district outreach regarding student screenings, recommendations for services and student support.Collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of staff in providing on-going professional development that supports student needs.Assisting with the review and development of implementation of social and emotional learning development programs throughout the Department of Special Education. These include PBIS Programs, QUAVER SEL Programs, Restorative Justice and Trauma informed initiatives.Assisting with the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).Participating in crisis intervention and training as needed.Attending annual review meetings, participating in screenings and providing IEP mandated counseling.Any other duties assigned by building administrators such as attending department meetings, assisting with coverage related issues and record keeping.Requirements:New York State Education Department Certification: School Psychologist.Experience with FBAs and BIPs, as well as students with disabilities is preferred.New York State Licensure as a Psychologist is preferred.*** IN ADDTIION TO APPLYING ON OLAS, ALL APPLICANTS MUST VISIT THE NASSAU BOCES Employment Opportunities PAGE TO COMPLETE THEIR APPLICATION ***
