Nassau BOCES seeks certified speech teachers for the Regional Summer School program from July 1, 2022 – August 31, 2022. Hours and rates vary by district but generally fall between 8AM – 1 PM, Monday – Thursday and between $40 - $55 per hour. Responsibilities:Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP)Participate in determining student progress Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities to improve speech and language skillsCompile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents requiredQualifications:Appropriate NYS Certification RequiredOLAS applications and cover letters should be addressed to Christine Fleming, Program Coordinator.
