***In addition to applying on OLAS, all letters of interest and resumes must be submitted to Dr. Sam Gergis at sgergis@nasboces.org by close of business on July 25, 2025***The Human Resources Department is seeking an Assistant Director to provide leadership and management of all operational aspects of the Department.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Assuming all administrative responsibilities for the Human Resources Department, including budget development and administration.• Developing best practices for all aspects of Human Resources.• Overseeing maintenance of personnel records and implementing programs such as Frontline.• Supervising staff to execute the functions and responsibilities of the department.• Assisting in labor negotiations.• Leading the planning and implementation of professional development for administration and office support staff.• Communicating and collaborating with all departmental and labor leaders across the Agency.• Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Education Management.REQUIREMENTS:• New York State Education Department Certification:School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL).• Three or more years of high-level central office experience including Human Resources experience in a public school district and/or BOCES.• Proven instructional leadership and ability to collaborate, plan and communicate information effectively to building and central administration.• Three or more years of instructional experience preferred.• Five or more years of building level experience highly desirable.• Extensive knowledge of New York State Education, Civil Service and Employment and Labor Law and all areas of Human Resources.• Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.SALARY: $204,000.00 plus doctoral stipend of $3,575.00, if applicable.Compensation package is competitive and includes generous fringe benefits***All letters of interest and resumes must be submitted to Dr. Sam Gergis at sgergis@nasboces.org by close of business on July 25, 2025***
