Job DescriptionThe Mount Vernon City School District is seeking interested applicants to fill vacancy for Cleaner at Denzel Washington School of the Arts at the Nellie A Thornton Campus for the 2022-2023 School Year.CLEANER DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is routine work requiring efficient performance of simple cleaning tasks under general supervision. The work of employees in this class involves only the thorough execution of tasks which follow a well-established routine. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:1. Dusts chairs, tables, desks and other furniture;2. Washes windows, walls, woodwork, water closets, tubs, bowls and chalk boards;3. Changes light bulbs;4. Sweeps, mops, washes, strips, waxes and oils floors;5. Gathers and disposes of refuse;6. Cleans and polishes furniture and brass;7. Participates in snow and ice control activities;8. May be assigned laundry room duties as required;9. May occasionally maintain watch over buildings;10.
