The Mount Vernon City School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy for a District Webmaster. The Webmaster will manage the online presence of the District, is responsible for ensuring all school websites and department pages are updated with current and accurate information while maintaining a high level of excellent customer service. The following are some of the essential duties and responsibilities of the position. The District Webmaster must have the ability to provide an example of leadership and excellent customer service; must design, test, publish, manage and maintain school and district websites for staff, student, and community access; Will assist with posting media to various District websites and other resources; Will analyze and evaluate website traffic and will comply with policies and procedures to ensure the online confidentiality and safety of self and others. The District Webmaster will report to the Public Information Officer or the Superintendent’s Designee and the ideal applicant MUST be a High school graduate or have an equivalent with at least two years of experience and/or training in related fields; MUST be familiar with web related languages such as HTML, HTML5, PHP, Java, etc. and applicants with valid certifications in Apple, Microsoft and/or other relevant domains are highly desired. The applicant MUST have experience with Apple and Windows operating systems and basic productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, email, web browsers, etc.; Must have experience with Methods of uploading and downloading all types of media; Experience with content management systems, website hierarchy, web page structure, and photo and video editing; MUST have knowledge with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer operating systems and applications software.
