School Counselor This is a 10-month, probationary position with a start date of 9/1/26. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a NYS School Counselor Certification. Application Deadline: 4/3/26 Start Date: 9/1/26 Salary: Per current MMTA contract; level of education and experience will be considered. This position reports to the Building Principal. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to implement a comprehensive school counseling program that supports student success. The ideal candidate will address the academic, career, and social-emotional developmental needs of all students, serving as a vital member of the school's educational team and a consultant to educators and families. The ideal candidate will: Have a strong understanding of best practices for teaching, learning and assessment Use developmentally appropriate strategies to promote student engagement with the content Create a positive learning environment Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Build positive relationships with colleagues Promote family engagement whenever possible
