Transportation Supervisor – Provisional Appointment The Massapequa School District is seeking dedicated, intelligent, and personable individuals to apply for the position of Transportation Supervisor for the Massapequa Public Schools This is a PROVISIONAL appointment in conjunction with rules and regulations dictated by the Nassau County Civil Service administration. Qualifications: High School Diploma 3+ years experience supervising, dispatching, and/or routing student transportation, or the equivalent, as approved by Nassau County Civil Service Fingerprint clearance through NYSED Knowledge of modern transportation methods and the operation of buses. Knowledge of the competitive bidding process. Knowledge of all County, State, and Federal rules and regulations pertaining to school bus transportation and safety. Ability to plan and schedule all phases of a transportation program. Ability to understand and follow complex oral or written directions. Ability to maintain records and prepare reports. Ability to issue either written or oral instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, subordinates, parents, and students. Reports to: District Business Official Salary commensurate with experience
