The Mount Pleasant Central School District in Thornwood, New York is seeking a Sports Coordinator for Spring Season beginnning approximately March 4, 2024. Prior coaching experience and an understanding of NYSPHSAA and Section 1 rules preferred. Responsiblilities include: Distribute and collect all uniforms, equipment and supplies and record all inventory. All inventory to be updated at the end of each sports season.Coordinate reconditioning pick up and drop off with vendors as needed and keep records of service provided.Supervise any game, event or practice requested by the Athletic Director.Coordinate event personnel for all HS and MS games and scrimmages, home and away. Monday - Saturday.Provide instruction and support to all event personnel.Assure that all indoor/outdoor field facilities are prepared for practice and/or games.Communicate with custodial staff when necessary.Assist with development/oversight of indoor/outdoor practice schedules as needed.Assist with all preseason coaches’ meetings as necessary.Assist with the annual Sports Awards Program, preparing awards/reception for ceremony.Assist the oversight of fitness room and the management of its equipment.Coverage for athletic events on the premises as necessary for; issues concerning late officials, teams and equipment or supply concern, parent or visitor questions, chaperone, field issue or inclement sudden weather problem and consult/report/update Director of Athletics as necessary.Stipend position in the amount of $7,333.
