The Mount Pleasant Central School District in Thornwood, New York is seeking a full time Maintenance Mechanic (Buildings) for the 2022/2023 school year. This is a 12 month civil service non-competitive position. Duties include: Replace and/or rebuild building infrastructure, railings, floors, etc.Performs carpentry repair work such as replacing doors, building supporting structures, etc.Performs routine electrical & plumbing maintenance, repair and installation. Replaces electrical or plumbing fixtures, installs electrical circuits & computer wiring.Replaces broken glass & repairs windows.Replaces heating system in part or in whole.Repairs hot water, steam & hot air lines.Repairs masonry structures, facilities & appurtenances.Prior school district experience preferred.
