REQUIREMENTS: Must have NYS Certification in Music Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Ability to work with diverse populations Proficiency in piano, with the ability to accompany classroom instruction, rehearsals, performances, and choral ensembles Experience directing and developing school chorus and vocal music programs, including rehearsal techniques and concert preparation Possess strong background in Music pedagogy Knowledge of school organization, goals and objectives, curriculum, teaching techniques, current trends, research, and materials of instruction in field of specialization Excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education Ability to infuse technology into curriculum Ability to work effectively with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, community, and other school system staff Adapts course of study and training methods to meet student's need and ability Other responsibilities, as assigned, based on the needs of the school and its scholars EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2026 - TBD
