QUALIFICATIONS: Must posses a Commercial Drivers License, Class A OR B, with P&S EndorsementThree (3) years supervisory experience in transportationExceptional interpersonal skillsExcellent supervisory and leadership skillsAbility to work well under pressureMust meet all Civil Service RequirementsMust meet NYSED Fingerprint requirementsDMV 19A Certified Examiner and SED School Bus Driver Instructor (SBDI) Certifications RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Coordinate and administer all phases of pupil transportation program with 120 school owned buses and contracted buses serving 10,000 studentsDirect the maintenance, repair, and inspection of all transportation vehiclesMaintain records for compliance with SED, DMV, DOT, DEC, and federal regulationsSupervise 150+ employees in a nationally recognized departmentDevelop routes and establish bus stops in a 100 square mile districtConduct training programs for employees focusing on maximizing safety of the departmentMonitor contract transportation providers to ensure complianceDevelop a responsible departmental operating budget EFFECTIVE: JULY 1, 2024
