In partnership with families and our community, the district’s mission is to promote confidence, inspire a passion for learning, and to prepare students to become responsible global citizens.REQUIREMENTS: NYS Teaching Certification preferred BCBA and LBA Certification required Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements School-based certification (i.e. special education teacher, school psychologist, etc.)The requirements above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Ability to demonstrate competence in behavioral management skills, instructional skills, and oral and written communication. The ability to work with a variety of students in regards to age, functionality, and diverse backgrounds, who have diverse skills and needs with minimal direction. Assist in development and implementation of assessment tools. Ability to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to each appropriate behavior and reduce targeted behaviors. Complete functional assessments and behavioral intervention plans. Graph, analyze and interpret data on the occurrence of target behaviors and replacement behaviors. Assess students using the ABLLS, VB-MAPP, and EFL. Knowledge of Direct Instruction Curriculums including: Language for Learning, Connecting Math Concepts, Reading Mastery, Corrective Reading, Knowledge of Discrete Trial Instruction programming and implementation. Provide ongoing support and training to teachers, parents/caregivers, and direct support to professionals as related to programming/curriculum and BIP’s. Participate in CSE meetings as needed. Collaborate and partner with the student’s family and other team members. Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly. Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences, reviewing publications, attain CEUs to maintain BCBA certification.LOCATION: District WideEFFECTIVE: September 1, 2023
