In partnership with families and our community, the district’s mission is to promote confidence, inspire a passion for learning, and to prepare students to become responsible global citizens.REQUIREMENTS: - Must have NYSED Certification in Special Education B-2 - Additional NYSED Certification in Early Childhood Education B-2 preferred - Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirementsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:Strong knowledge of early childhood learning standardsExtensive knowledge of developmentally appropriate instructional strategies for early childhood students, specifically those with unique learning needsSkilled in tracking student progress toward achieving goals and communicating progress to parents regularlyAbility to develop and implement differentiated instruction based upon students' needs and strengthsExperience writing IEPs, conducting student observations, and participating in CSE meetingsEffective tools for collaboration with all school faculty, staff, administrators, and families in service to studentsAbility to work with students of diverse backgrounds who have diverse developmental and academic skillsDesire to grow as a part of a professional community by utilizing research-based tools, practices, and approaches to support instructional practice, student learning, and students’ overall growth and achievementFamiliarity with Teachers College reading, writing, and phonics curriculum preferredEFFECTIVE: September 1, 2022
