Position Overview / Job Responsibilities Key Qualifications & Skills Adaptability & Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly as a team player with classroom teachers, job-site managers, and high school administration. Strong Communication: Skilled at conveying expectations clearly to students while maintaining positive, professional relationships with local community business partners. Independence: Proven track record of working reliably with minimal supervision, particularly when off-campus at community work sites. Empathy & Patience: A compassionate, student-centered approach to helping young adults navigate new and unfamiliar workplace environments. Optional Physical/Logistical Requirement: Ability to travel to local community job sites or assist in transporting students (if required by your district). Work-Based Learning Job Coach & Supervision Community-Based Supervision: Guide, monitor, and support high school students at various community job sites, ensuring safety, professional behavior, and adherence to employer expectations. School-Based Operations: Facilitate and oversee on-campus student work experiences, including school stores, vocational tasks, or internal service projects. Skill Development: Coach students in real-time on essential transition and "soft skills," such as professional communication, time management, problem-solving, and task completion. Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate logs, collect data, and provide feedback on student performance and growth toward their individual employment and IEP goals. High School Classroom & Instructional Support Proactive Engagement: Demonstrate excellent work habits and professional initiative, anticipating classroom needs and stepping in to assist wherever needed Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle sensitive student data, behavioral records, and family information with the highest level of professional integrity and confidentiality.
