Duties: Duties include direct instruction, testing/assessment, maintaining accurate record keeping and accountability for student achievement and retention. Seeking candidates with experience teaching and ability to work with a diverse adult population to deliver basic academic skill instruction as well as high school equivalency preparation; comfortable teaching adults who may have learning difficulties. Candidates must be self-disciplined and able to work within a team and independently. Must commit to 14 hours of Professional Development through the Regional Adult Education Network (RAEN) per year.Qualifications: Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Education; NYS Teacher Certification or eligible for Adult Education Certification preferred.Location of Position: Utica ACCESS Site, 508 Second St. Utica, NYTerm of Employment: Part-time Evenings- 7hrs. week- Monday and Wednesday evenings- 4:30-7:30pmSalary: Range $24-$29 per hour depending on experience and certificationStarting Date: June-July 2024
