The Milford Central School District seeks to fill the following anticipated probationary position for the remainder of 2024/2025 School YearPhysical Education/ Health Teacher- Full Time (1.0 FTE) Probationary Full Time (10 Month)Salary/ Pay Rate: Based on MTA ContractCertification/Experience:Candidate must possess NYSED certification in both Physical Education & Health We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Physical Education and Health Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid certification in Physical Education and Health from the New York State and will be committed to promoting physical fitness, health education, and overall well-being among students. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of health and fitness concepts, and the ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans. Qualifications: Valid New York State certification in Physical Education and Health (Initial or Professional).Demonstrated knowledge of health and fitness concepts, including nutrition, exercise physiology, and wellness.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities: Develop and implement age-appropriate physical education and health curriculum aligned with state standards and objectives.Plan and conduct instructional activities that promote physical fitness, motor skillsdevelopment, and healthy lifestyle choices.Assess student learning and progress through various methods, including observation, testing, and evaluation of student performance.Provide individualized support and guidance to students to help them achieve their fitness and health goals.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participationand collaboration among students.Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student successand well-being.Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in physical education and health education.The Milford Central School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Close
