Milford Central School District is seeking interested applicants for a School Social Worker. Thesuccessful candidate will join an established team who works closely with students, families,teachers, and administrators to maintain a positive school culture, and support and nurture a senseof community. The School Social Worker counsel’s students towards managing all non-instructionalfactors that influence student success – social, emotional, and behavioral services as needed.Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:Providing individual and group counseling to students at-risk as well as students withdisabilities.Partnering with families to address issues such as trauma, chronic absenteeism, and crisismanagement.Provide crisis interventions for students. Participating in evaluating students for the need for special education services. Assist teachers with behavior management. Providing case management services, such as managing contact and coordination withcounty agencies as needed and providing referrals to community resources. Providing trainings and workshops to teachers, school staff and families Participation in the RTI process. Working closely with the Child Study Team.Is a member of the Crisis Management Team.
