School PsychologistResponsibilities:Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health functioning.Interpret evaluation results and prepare comprehensive written reports in compliance with federal and state regulationsParticipate in CSE, CPSE, 504, and MTSS meetings.Provide individual, group, and parent counseling and training per IEP requirements.Make recommendations to the CSE to support the placement of students in their least restrictive environment.Conduct program searches for students requiring out of district placements.Lead crisis intervention efforts.Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and monitor progress.Train staff on the implementation of BIPs and data collection.Integrate counseling services into the environment, as appropriate.Provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem solving in the classroom.Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed.Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals and outside agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families.Provide and/or assist in professional development for staff, parents, and/or the community.Participate in professional growth activities on a yearly basis including workshops, in-services, professional reading materials, and/or other available offerings by the district and other providers.Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data, create initial IEPs and update annually.Participate in building or program activities and meetings as appropriate.Qualifications:New York State Certification as a School PsychologistCompletion of an approved program in School PsychologyDemonstrated knowledge of psychological testing instruments, data interpretation, and legal guidelines under IDEA and Section 504Application Procedure:Desired start date: On or before March 1, 2026APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 12, 2025APPLICANTS: Please submit all application materials on OLAS.
