The Millbrook Central School District is seeking a passionate and highly qualified Physics teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of the physical world through engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications.Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with NYSSLS and national standards. Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including technology, to cater to diverse learners. Conduct engaging experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding. Prepare students for standardized tests and assessments, including the Regents and/AP Physics. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching approaches. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Physics (Grades 7-12). Strong knowledge of physics concepts and principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Experience with laboratory equipment and safety procedures. Proficiency in using educational technology tools. Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Physics or Education or additional science concentrations. Experience teaching physics at the middle or high school level. Successful track record of student achievement.
