Position – Part-Time (0.6 FTE) Elementary Instrumental Music Teacher for Grades 4 & 5:One (1) part-time (0.6 FTE) position beginning as soon as possible;Salary & Benefits pursuant to MTA Agreement. Certification:NYS Music K-12 certification (required). The successful candidate will:Have teaching experience, especially with instrumental music instruction;Ability to work with 4th and 5th graders to instill the fundamentals and skills of playing a musical instrument and to perform in a concert setting;Have good classroom management skills, especially for large group instruction;Be positive, enthusiastic, & have a broad depth of knowledge of instructional strategies;Work collaboratively with other teachers;Identify & participate in opportunities to expand his/her skills through professional development.
