The Millbrook Central School District is currently recruiting for a Supervisor of Digital Fluency and Data Privacy to provide administrative leadership for the District’s Instructional Technology department. Posting Date: November 30, 2022 Assignment: Administration, 12-monthReports to: Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel General Job Responsibilities: Coordinate and implement the goals outlined in the District’s Strategic and Technology PlansServe as the District’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Data Privacy Officer (DPO)Ensure that all educators have access to appropriate tools and training to develop innovative curriculum, instruction, assessment, learning environments and professional learningObserve and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff as assignedOversee all aspects of the District’s technology infrastructure, data privacy, and cybersecurityManage the budget and long-range planning for the technology departmentPartner with instructional leaders to develop and implement curriculum based on the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards (P-12)Oversee the management and operations of the District’s smart building, life safety, and security technology systemsServe as the District’s designated system administrator for critical database systems including but not limited to the student information system (SIS), assessment platforms, and various instructional technology software platformsOther duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have: Experience integrating instructional technology into P-12 curriculumA strong understanding of NY State Educational Law Section 2-dGreat interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive information with tact, empathy, kindness and professionalism. Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Candidates must possess a valid New York State School District Administrator (SDA), or School District Leader (SDL) certificate at the time of appointment.
