Position – Executive Director of Instruction and Community Relations The Millbrook Central School District is currently recruiting for an Executive Director of Instruction and Community Relations to lead, manage and evaluate all aspects of the P-12 instructional program and to be responsible for managing the District’s social media outlets and public relations efforts. This central administrator will be integral to the District’s instructional planning processes and provide a direct link between the District’s internal operations, stakeholder groups, local officials and organizations to develop and maintain programs that have a positive impact on the school community.Reports to: Superintendent of SchoolsResponsibilities include: Administers and reviews the District’s PreK-12 inclusive curriculum development plan to ensure the education programs, courses of study, methods and materials for instruction are based upon appropriate student needs and are timely and consistent with State Education’s goals, policies, and laws. Regularly collaborates with instructional staff and administration to bolster, adjust, and evolve the District’s overall educational program, including the supervision of District MTSS and PL programming including (AIS, RtI and other such intervention). Partners with district leadership and PreK-12 Instructional Leadership Council to organize, develop, and schedule a district-wide professional development program. Monitors district compliance with New York State annual reporting requirements for Annual Professional Performance Review. Authors Federal Grant Applications and manage Federal Grant Funds (ESSA Title, UPK and ARP). Conduct community forums and info sessions related to this work. Reviews, interprets, disaggregates and analyzes assessment and diagnostic data to assist staff, administrators, and Superintendent and the Board in their respective duties. Prepares and provides reports and updates accordingly. Serves as the district’s Alternate Public Information Officer responsible for all aspects of public relations, including oversight of all district social media platforms and websites, coordinating with the press and our BOCES Public Relations CoSer. The ideal candidate will have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Capacity to initiate and nurture relationships with potential school families Strong knowledge of instructional technology tools and social media platforms Excellent organizational, planning, and program implementation skills Understanding of marketing principles as they relate to student admissions.Desired start date: September 1, 2022 Candidates must possess a valid New York State School District Administrator (SDA), or School District Leader (SDL) certificate at the time of appointment.
