ANTICIPATED VACANCYAnticipated Position – Secondary Social Studies Teaching Position: Full-time, tenure track position beginning September 1, 2022; Salary & Benefits pursuant to MTA Agreement.Certification: NYS Social Studies 7-12 certification (required) Bilingual candidates preferred Dual Certification preferredThe successful candidate will: Have teaching experience; Utilize an inquiry-based approach to teaching; Be positive, enthusiastic, & have a broad depth of knowledge of instructional strategies; Create differentiated lessons that address individual student learning styles via formative data; Understand the special education process and can successfully demonstrate various effective co-teaching models Incorporate literacy skills into lessons that align with content specific reading skills; Be able to utilize data to target instruction to provide targeted intervention and enrichment in English language arts to promote academic student growth Promote social-emotional learning that aligns with positive character education development; Use technology to enhance & augment instruction; Provide equitable and culturally competent learning practices; Collaborate with colleagues to promote successful academic strategies across content areas; Identify & participate in opportunities to expand skills through professional development. Invest in the Millbrook Educational community through activities outside of the classroom in an area of student interest (preferred).
