Valid NYS School Building Leader certification or NYS School District Leader certification, or equivalent2. Experience as a building administrator, preferably at the elementary level3. Strong commitment to children4. Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation, staff development, and school improvement5. Knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards and ability to evaluate effective classroom instruction6. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills7. In-depth knowledge of evidence-based foundational literacy and numeracy instructional strategies and techniques8.
