Positions: School Nurse – full time Qualifications: Appropriate New York State Registered Nurse License necessary. Must have diabetic insulin pump knowledge. Administer first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees. Prepare and maintains health records. Participate in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to health safety of students. Assist the school and district administration in planning the essential elements of a school health service program and adapting programs to meet health needs of individual students (504 plans, emergency plans, & health plans). Prepare purchase orders, and supervise the distribution of such health forms, equipment and supplies as shall be necessary for the adequate operation of the Health Office. Elementary school nursing experience preferred but not required.
