DATE: March 27, 2025 EFFECTIVE DATE OF ASSIGNMENT: September 4, 2025 – December 1, 2025LOCATION: Maine Memorial Elementary SchoolSTARTING SALARY: $214.00/dayREQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A valid New York State Teaching Certificate (or pending) in School Social Worker.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION (including, but not limited to):Build positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the broader school community.Make decisions in the best interests of students.Be professional (defined as a guaranteed level of competence), trustworthy, compassionate, and respectful.Work with school community and outside agencies to provide support to students and families.Offer mentoring and suggestions for faculty and staff including strategies and interventions for struggling students.Develop programs and activities for student’s social, emotional, academic, and behavioral progress and safety including intervention and support strategies.Plan and provide high quality counseling and support services to all students with focus on IEPs and at-risk students.Collaborate with the school's leadership team and other committees to support all students in achieving high standards.
