LOCATION: Middle School / High SchoolSTARTING SALARY: $54,600.00 - $70,000.00 DOE + Competitive salary/benefit packageREQUIRED CERTIFICATION: A valid New York State teaching certificate (or pending) in Music K-12 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: Make decisions in the best interests of students.Work collaboratively and take individual responsibility for student learning.Collaborate with your team working interdependently to achieve common goals for which all members are mutually accountable.Implement a guaranteed and viable curriculum, unit by unit, so all students have access to the same knowledge and skills regardless of the teacher they are assigned.Implement common formative assessments to frequently gather evidence of student learning.Provide students with interventions and extensions to ensure each student who struggles receive additional time and support for learning in a way that is timely, directive, diagnostic, and systematic, and for each student who demonstrates proficiency can extend their learning.Use evidence of student learning to inform and improve your individual and team practices.
