SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS – Certified Positions Full Time, 10-month positions, McGraw Elementary School DUTIES: Responsible for all aspects of teaching including but not limited to development and implementation of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), instruction aligned to NYS curriculum learning standards, with necessary modifications and adaptations to meet the individual needs of students; progress monitoring, assessment, student supervision, home/school communication, etc. Serve as a collegial team member in a dynamic small rural school educational setting. Provide instruction to students with disabilities (e.g., Autism; learning, emotional, speech and language disabilities) in special class and inclusive programs. Maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Perform other duties as required. Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
