The Mayfield Central School District, located near the Great Sacandaga Lake, approximately 30 minutes northwest of Saratoga in the heart of the foothills of the Adirondacks, is seeking an elementary level ELA interventionist for a full-time appointment commencing the 2025-2026 school year. We value collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and creating a nurturing environment where students grow with confidence.Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and student-centered Interventionist to provide targeted academic support to students in need of additional instruction. The interventionist will work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to help close achievement gaps and ensure all students meet grade-level expectations.Responsibilities:Provide small group and individual instruction based on data and student needCollaborate with classroom teachers to support tiered interventionsUse progress monitoring tools to track student growth and adjust instructionParticipate in data meetings, MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) processes, and intervention planningCommunicate regularly with families about student progress and support strategiesMaintain documentation of interventions and student outcomesQualifications:Valid teaching license (Elementary Education, Reading, Literacy or related endorsement preferred)Experience with delivering academic interventions in reading and/or mathStrong knowledge of assessment tools and progress monitoring experienceCollaborative mindset and strong communication skillsDeep belief in the ability of every student to succeedAlong with your application, submit a cover letter detailing how your experience and skills match the position.
