Notice of Anticipated VacancyNovember 30, 2023 Temporary Elementary School Professional Developer for Instructional Technology Munsey Park Elementary SchoolAnticipated start date January 22, 2024Position Description: Works with the Director of Instructional Technology to set and review goals and objectives for a district-wide staff development program.Staff Development: Will develop, plan, coordinate, implement and conduct staff development training for teachers, administrators, and support staff focusing on the effective use of computer technology software and hardware and participate in ongoing turn-key training.Provide formal and informal training in individual and group settings (throughout the school day, in department and faculty meetings, lunchtime workshops, etc.) and attend school faculty and department meetings.Design, deliver, and establish ongoing collaboration with administrators and teachers in the meaningful use and implementation of technology to improve instruction.Ability to use and instruct others in the use of instructional technology systems including Canvas, Google Workspace Apps, MS Office, Screen casting software, Nearpod, Smart Notebook, Castle Learning, Discovery Education Network, etc.Ability to use, instruct, and support others in the use of computer-based testing: NWEA, NYS tests.Ability to troubleshoot low level technology issues with Smartboards, Chromebooks, and other classroom technologies. Qualifications: Appropriate New York State Teaching certification is required. Educational Technology Specialist Professional Certificate is preferred. Salary as per MEA contract.
