Notice of Anticipated VacancyMay 18, 2023 District Speech Language Pathologist-Part-Time Manhasset Schools: District WideThis position is available September 1st, 2023 Position Description:The successful candidate is motivated, engaging, and student centered with a demonstrated ability working with students at the Elementary and Secondary levels. The duties include but are not limited to:Serving on the school-based Instructional Support Team and work within a Response to Intervention model (attend weekly meetings, respond to incoming teacher referrals, monitor designated plans, implement short-term interventions, and help identify students who need an evaluationConducting speech language evaluations, writing reports, and presenting the information to the Committees on Special Education and Section 504Providing small group, individual, and push-in services that are tightly aligned to student specific goals and the general education curriculum in the areas of voice, fluency, pragmatic, expressive and receptive language, and articulationCollecting multiple sources of data on progress to goals and standardsProviding teachers and staff with strategies and interventions for struggling studentsTraining of non-verbal communication, such as sign language, gesturing and picture exchange communication Qualifications:New York State Speech Language Pathologist LicenseCertificate of Clinical Competence of the American Speech Language Hearing AssociationExperience with AAC, PECS, PROMPT, Oral Sensory-Motor is preferred.Qualified candidates should apply by May 31, 2023, via OLAS with a letter of interest, proof of NYSED certification, and resume to:Mrs. Allison RushforthAssistant Superintendent for Student ServicesManhasset Public Schools200 Memorial Place, Manhasset, New York 11030
