MANHASSET PUBLIC SCHOOLSNotice of Anticipated VacancyFebruary 14, 2023District Coordinator of World Languages/ENLThis probationary position is available July 1, 2023.The Manhasset School District is seeking a highly qualified education leader to replace the incumbent who is retiring after more than 12 years of valued service to the district. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide visionary and collaborative leadership, meaningful professional development and highly effective supervision of faculty and staff. This position is a four-year probationary appointment, and is a part of the Manhasset Administrators and Supervisors Association (MASA). The duties, responsibilities, and other functions as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and/or his/her designee, are listed below.Qualifications: Master’s Degree. Demonstrated record of successful World Language or ENL teaching experience. Prior administrative experience is preferred. Appropriate NYS Building level administrative certification is required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Coordinate a collaborative approach to evaluating student work in order to identify curricular and instructional needs and cultivate interdisciplinary connections;• Develop instructional and district priorities that are aligned to district-wide goals;• Use data and research to inform instruction and monitor programmatic shifts;• Demonstrate experience in leadership to influence others to work collaboratively and to promote innovation and risk-taking;• Create learning and assessment that is relevant and connects student understandings to the real-world;• Provide direct leadership and professional development in the implementation of the NY State Learning Standards;• Deliver all requirements for identifying and serving English language learners as outlined by the CR Part 154 regulations• Use technology to advance teaching and learning and enable students and staff to participate in the global community;• Partner with central administration, principals, directors and coordinators to align initiatives and instructional priorities;• Demonstrate experience in developing, overseeing and reviewing budgets;• Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, screening, hiring, training and assigning of school personnel• Relate well with children and demonstrate a commitment to the social-emotional, physical and academic growth of children;• Possess solid communication skills and forge strong relationships with all members of the school community.Qualified candidates should apply on OLAS by March 8, 2023 via OLAS with a letter of interest, proof of NYS certification, and resume to:Donald F.
