We value differences as strengths and strive to cultivate a shared ethic of care, high expectations, and collective responsibility across our schools.LOCATION: Central SchoolRESPONSIBILITIES:Collaboration and communication with staff on behalf of the student’s success Support the student’s academic, emotional and behavioral needs as indicated by the IEPProvide the teacher with information about student that will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiencesAssist with related instructional work as requiredMaintain instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files/records (e.g. lessons, attendance, pencils, paper, teaching supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of items, providing written reports, or meeting mandated requirementsPerforms general tasks for the purpose of helping the teacher get instructional materials readyREQUIREMENTS: Must be certified as a teaching assistant in NYS.
