RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS: Successful teaching and conducting experience at the middle school levelExtensive knowledge of all band instruments, band repertoire and pedagogyExperience and ability to teach a sequential and well-paced 7th & 8th grade band curriculum included in daily small and large group lessons and sectionals.Knowledge and ability to teach advanced middle school jazz bandAbility to conduct middle school parade marching bandKnowledge and use of Google Classroom and all extensions through GoogleAbility to communicate successfully with parents, students and colleagues Candidate must be dedicated and passionate about teaching and developing student musicians; with the ability to recruit, attract, and retain orchestra members REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Assistant Principal, Director of Performing Arts Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
