LOCATION: Chatsworth Avenue SchoolHOURS: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week RESPONSIBILITIES – Special Education AideSupport of students with special needs as per their IEPCollaboration with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s successMonitor the health and well-being of studentsEffectively communicate with classroom teacher and administrationWillingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention TrainingData collection and implementation of behavior plansAssist classroom teacher as neededOther duties as assignedPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with younger aged childrenExperience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challengesCOMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teacher Aides Unit.SALARY RANGE: $26,203-$30,701REPORTS TO: Building Assistant PrincipalEthnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
