POSITION: JV Football Assistant CoachSUPERVISOR: Director and Assistant Director of Health, PE & AthleticsDATE POSITIONS BECOME AVAILABLE: Fall 2025 (August-October)REQUIREMENTS: JV Football Assistant Coach is responsible for all aspects of the JV team, including but not limited to: Attend preseason dates Work with Head Coach and other coaching staff to develop practice plans Help facilitate jv football preseason starting 8/23/25 with other coaching staff Work collaboratively with the all staff on facilities, management and schedule Strong ability to clearly communicate expectations with all stakeholders, i.e. administration, athletes and families Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, referees, opposing coaches and spectators Adhere to NYSPHSAA, Section 1, and school policies & regulations Cooperatively plan, organize, and implement effective practice and game plans Prioritize the safety of all players on and off the field Serve as a role model for players, and encourage sportsmanship and team unity Assist with equipment, including issuing, inventorying and collecting equipment, and ensuring it is used properly and safely Attend all games and practices, and attend required coaches' clinics & meetings Must hold a NYS teaching license or NYS coaching license in football Hold or obtain valid CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse, Mandated Reporter Training, Violence Prevention Workshop, and DASA Certificates Obtain mandated NYSED fingerprint clearance
