Location: Hommocks Middle SchoolSupervisor: Building Principal DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: 8/28/2025 RESPONSIBILITIES:Support of students’ academic, emotional and behavioral needs.Ability to implement strategies and practices as directed by the special education teacher or school psychologist.Collaboration and communication with administration and staff on behalf of the student’s success Monitor the health and well-being of studentsWillingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention TrainingData collection and implementation of behavior plansOther duties as assigned PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all agesExperience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges REQUIREMENTS: Must be certified as a Teaching Assistant in NYS.
