POSITION: Teacher Aide LOCATION: Murray Avenue School HOURS: Monday – Friday, 30 hours per week SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: Immediately RESPONSIBILITIES – Special Education Aide: Support of students’ academic, emotional and behavioral needsAbility to implement strategies and practices as directed by the special education teacher or school psychologistCollaboration and communication with administration and staff on behalf of the student’s successMonitor the health and well-being of studentsWillingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention TrainingData collection and implementation of behavior plansOther duties as assigned PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all agesExperience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teacher Aides Unit.Hourly rate range: $16.00 - $21.09
