POSITION: Assistant Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach A varsity assistant coach is passionate in supporting the head coach, through ensuring that equipment and facilities are maintained and ready for practice. The assistant coach works in collaboration with the head coach through performing administrative duties, scheduling and supervising practice sessions, maintaining training equipment and organizing team events. To be successful as an assistant coach one should build a positive team environment and ensure students, facilities and training equipment are adequately prepared and safe both physically and emotionally. An assistant coach should be highly organized, an exceptional mentor and good role model. SUPERVISOR: Director of PE, Health & Athletics and Varsity Girls Lacrosse CoachDATE POSITIONS BECOME AVAILABLE: Spring 2023 - March 13th REQUIREMENTS: Assistant coach is responsible for reporting to and working with the head varsity girls lacrosse coach, including but not limited to: Accept direct supervision from varsity coach Cooperatively plan, organize, and implement effective practice schedules Build a positive team environment Be able to facilitate training sessions, drills and situational play Attend preseason meeting Have knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals and strategies for game play Adhere to NYSPHSAA, Section 1, and school policies & regulations Have knowledge of physical and emotional needs of adolescent girls Must be eligible for NYS coaching license hold or obtain CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse, Violence Prevention Workshop, and DASA Certificates Obtain mandated fingerprint clearance SALARY: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and Mamaroneck Teachers’ Association
