POSITION: Financial Aid AdvisorMamaroneck High School seeks an individual who is committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to pursue further education with as little financial burden and as much knowledge as possible. This person understands that access to college is an equity issue and that it is part of the Mamaroneck School District’s mission. This individual will work collaboratively with school counselors over four years to educate students and families about the college process and the financial options families can avail themselves of. This individual understands the financial aid process and has a deep knowledge of the opportunities to make college viable. This person will assist students in the transition to college in order to avoid summer slide and follow up with alumni to provide support during the college years. LOCATION: Mamaroneck High School HOURS: 10-30 hours per week SUPERVISOR: Building Principal DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: January 3, 2023 RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides resources, education and counseling about financial aid and college affordability in the college search and selection process.Ensures that students are knowledgeable about their choices and that they are set up to make educated decisions so they feel empowered. Facilitates all scholarship opportunities for MHS and district students.Work with counselors to ensure that students have access to a range of college programs that support persistence and college completion (ex.
