Music CertificationSuccessful teaching and conducting experience at the High School or Secondary LevelExtensive knowledge of all string instruments, orchestral repertoire and string pedagogyExperience teaching various orchestral ensembles including small chamber ensembles, large string and symphonic orchestra and mixed pops ensembleAbility to teach a sequential and well-paced curriculum in orchestral music included in daily rehearsals and sectional lessonsSet goals, objectives, and activities that would maintain and develop the overall quality of the program.Knowledge and use of Google Classroom and all extensions through GoogleAbility to communicate successfully with parents, students and colleaguesCandidate must be dedicated and passionate about teaching and developing student musicians; with the ability to recruit, attract, and retain orchestra membersStrong technology and music technology skills including use of notation software such as Finale, Sibelius, Garage Band, etc.Compensation: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teachers’ Association.Application Deadline Date: 08/31/2022Diverse and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
