Mattituck-Cutchogue UFSD is recruiting an Anticipated Full-Time Probationary STEAM and Media Specialist starting the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must hold a Childhood Education 1-6 Certificate or K-12 Library Media Certificate. Responsibilities will include:To coordinate an information literacy curriculum and strategize with classroom teachers to integrate STEAM, literacy, innovative learning practices, and 21st-century literacy skills into the classroom.Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging STEAM curriculum for grades K-6.Integrate media literacy and technology skills into the STEAM curriculum to enhance learning and prepare students for the digital age.Collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to integrate STEAM and media education across the school curriculum.Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in STEAM and media education through ongoing professional development and training.Engage with parents, local organizations, and the community to promote STEAM and media literacy and encourage students’ interest and participation in related activities.
