Account Clerk II – Transportation DepartmentLiverpool Central School DistrictThe Liverpool Central School District is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Clerk II to support the financial and payroll operations of the Transportation Department. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for bus drivers, bus attendants, mechanics, and middle management, maintaining department attendance records, and processing purchasing and financial transactions.Responsibilities Include:Preparing, reviewing, and entering payroll for transportation staff, including bus drivers and attendants.Verifying timesheets, run sheets, overtime, and attendance records.Maintaining accurate attendance, leave, and time-and-attendance documentation for department personnel.Processing purchase orders, invoices, and related purchasing documentation.Assisting with budget tracking, account coding, and financial recordkeeping.Providing clerical and administrative support to the Transportation Center as needed.Communicating with staff, vendors, and district departments to resolve payroll or purchasing questions.Qualifications:Must meet Onondaga County Civil Service requirements for Account Clerk II.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.Experience with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, or equivalent clerical accounting duties preferred.Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple deadlines.
