The Liverpool Central School District is in search of a full-time probationary instrumental music (band) teacher for students in grades 4 and 5. Job responsibilities will include band rehearsals and small group lessons for our beginning wind and percussion musicians. The successful candidate should be able to display a high level of performance on their primary instrument, as well as proficiency on the other traditional band instruments. They should also possess and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of highly effective instrumental music pedagogy in both large ensemble and small-group settings. All candidates should possess a working knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards for the Arts, and hold the appropriate NYS certification.
