Anticipated VacancyEmployment Opportunity Culinary Teacher (Probationary)Little Flower UFSD, Long Island’s only special act school district located in Wading River, seeks a CTE Culinary teacher with experience working with students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be confident in their abilities to work with a diverse, high-needs population through differentiated approaches to instruction, assessment, and behavior management in a secondary classroom. The successful candidate will develop and implement educational programs which focus on culinary exploratory courses. Candidate will also teach limited period(s) of Family and Consumer Sciences with curriculum focusing on: making healthy choices; nurturing families; embracing life as you age; securing financial stability; promoting healthy homes and communities. Consumer sciences programming areas including: food and nutrition; family resource management; human development and family relations; health, safety and wellness; leadership development; clothing and textiles; housing and the environment; home based and micro business.Requirements:Appropriate NYSED Certification in CTE Culinary Will consider NYS FACS certificationWorking knowledge of the Home and Careers NYS StandardsDates of service: September 1, 2022 Interested applicants should submit apply through OLAS.
