The Lindenhurst UFSD is seeking a highly qualified probationary Family and Consumer Sciences teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must possess the appropriate NYS Certification. Qualified candidates should apply via OLAS and address job-specific cover letters to Mr. Thomas Scarola, Coordinator of CTE. Emailed and/or mailed applications will not be accepted.Job Expectations:Demonstrates and teaches Family and Consumer Sciences in a classroom setting using hands-on activities, career experiences and standards-aligned instruction.Conducts ongoing assessment of student growth and progress in Family and Consumer Sciences activities and modifies instructional methods to fit student's individual needs.Continues to participate in professional development to stay knowledgeable of current developments in the Family and Consumer Sciences field.Prepares instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards, maintains equipment, supplies, and other resources and maintains inventory records in accordance with district policies and procedures.
